WWII US Army Enlisted Hat Cap Head Gear, Size 6,7/8, Named.

Description

WWII Enlisted man's Hat.  The name "Enck" is handwritten in the inside of the sweat band.  This is the nicest enlisted hat that I have seen the only imperfection being the small tear in the inside plastic as seen in the photos.  The leather sweatband and visor are in good shape with good stitching.   This is a really good looking hat with a nice shape.

The item offered for sale is from my father's personal collection of over 50 years which began in the late 1960's through his recent passing.  Back then,
items were readily available directly from Veterans.
We put WWII wanted signs up everywhere.  Later when my interests were more of an adolescent nature, I was no longer involved in his collection which continued to obsessively grow.  Since the 1980's, I only had a limited knowledge of his collection activities other than particularly neat items that he found which we talked about on the phone.  His collection grew from trading, flea markets, Veteran's families, and later the internet.  I never had the vast knowledge of militaria that my father did.  So, mistakes on my part will be made when describing items.  I have described this item to the best of my ability but I am not an expert.
