Description
This early helmet liner is named to Abraham Cohen of New Jersey. According to the family he served as a medic on DDay in Normandy. The beach to be specific. I have not found the information to confirm this. The helmet itself has a beautiful exterior with a vivid circle painted on the front. There are several more smaller circles painted over rivets on the sides and back. Despite a moisture issue the interior held up very well, only the chinstrap is a little stiff but still attached. If you can research this and find out that this man was in Normandy it would be a substantial piece of history, right now it’s an ID’d early liner with interesting painted markings that deserve some investigation. I guarantee that this liner with its painting is a period WW2 piece. Please Review Pictures
