    Description

Vintage WW II US Navy/Army Helmet Liner 1940's Extremely Well Preserved! Used. My father served in the US Navy during WW II aboard a fleet tugboat as a Firefighter, and after his overseas duty was completed he was an instructor at Sampson Naval Base. This helmet liner was part of his personal gear. If you look closely at the pictures, you will notice His initials (NA), and some chalk markings that were associated with a particular operation (I am sorry to say that I have no info on the OP that called for those chalk marks). You'll also see that the inner support strapping is damaged which I believe led to his ownership of more than one of these units... This one's definitely seen it's usage, as you can see from my picture of the rim of the helmet, Dad's name was Norm, and I believe the name was written in navy issue insignia-paint. The structure of the liner has no visible chips of cracks! If you wore the US uniforms, THANK YOU! Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
