This is a set of original early WWII MKII Pilot flying goggles. Type worn by Navy and Marine Corps Aviator’s. Center bridge is marked, “MKII PILOT”, these are sturdy well made flying goggles. Streamlined vents indicate Chas. Fischer manufacturer . Frames are straight and in very good condition. Original American Optical marked amber glass lenses in excellent condition. Face cushion is the Navy type and khaki in color. Cushions are current replacement with original brass sewn retainer rings.Comes with an original lobster claw goggle strap that is in very good condition. The MK II goggles were replaced by the AN-6530 goggles. This type goggle was made in relatively small numbers compared to the AN-6530’s and is a very hard to find goggle today. Few turn up for sale.
