Original WW2 Pith Helmet; Africa; Or Jungle; With Original Google’s; Excellent

This is the best looking custom-made original pith, Africa, or jungle helmet I have ever owned in 50 years of selling and collecting military items. Plus, it has original goggles that came with it. The canvas covered outside helmet body has a rich khaki color age patina that adds amazing character in a dramatic appearance for display. Outside also has 4 tan color metal vent hole grommets; two on each side. Fancy pleated and gathered tan silk band around base of helmet bottom. Brim has perfect condition canvas reinforced sewn edging. Even has the full leather chinstrap across the top for the brim which is intact with only very minor tiny age cracks and chips. Inside has green lining with bright intact labels. One says: “Maison Lyonnaise Port Said” and the other is a round red and fancy gold label that says: “Casoue Insolaire Impermeable”. Cork spacers between helmet body and 1 1/2” wide leather liner are all there. Liner all there with no tears, rips, or missing sections; just fading around inside brim. Crown lining is still bright green and near perfect. Leather or suede sweatband has a small brown silk bow at end. A couple of cracks on the leather inside sweatband; but 90 % plus percent just fine. But, these imperfections inside do not impact displaying the helmet. Just a minor inside issue. NO big deal at all. Next, the goggles to protect eyes looks unused and are original to World War II era. Has an intact stretch white headband with adjustment metal buckles (quantity two), metal enclosures holding each oval lens. Also, the metal rims have air vents to prevent the lens from fogging.  There is a perfect stitched leather nose bridge which connects each lens metal housing, and gray silver felt lining around the inside metal ovals for comfort when wearing the goggles on your face. Plexi-or plastic lenses with minimal wear. Super well-made. Better than most. No makers mark’s on the goggles. Stretch headband has some age thinning on one section but, it is all there and still stretches. See all photographs and details as there are no returns. This is not your average set up. Super
