Description

we would like you to know:
We own several large 500 plus storage locker facilities in several states and on occasion people don't pay the rent & abandon their processions. If we find an item we think has value we give it to a local charity for abused and battered women to sell in their store.  Sometimes we help them by listing the item on eBay and give them the money from the sale. After eBay's 20% plus commission and fees are paid, they receive the remainder.   On occasion you will see a
listing removed or ended early
and that is because somebody came into their store and bought it & it is out of our control. If that happens we apologize so if you see something, it might be best you place a bid & not try to wait until the last second to buy cheap.  If we use the term "antique" it is only for saying it is old and for use in the category eBay sometimes only offers for something like this. But the true definition of antique is 100 years old and this obviously is not.  We really don't know the exact age, details, or pretend to be antique or dealers of collectables.  We will mention any information we know of or observe but nothing past that.  We are in the storage rental business & not science fiction book writers.
This fantastic Art Deco mirror and some others were located in an unpaid storage unit.  There are 3 different colors and 2 different sizes.  This discovery happened about 6 or 7 years ago and originally we found several hundred, most of which we have sold on eBay for 0 at the lowest on up to about 0 as they were all auctions & not eBay's moronic "stores" or "buy it now" they also offer.  A few we held back and put into our own storage unit as keepers or personal use.   A few employees here in our office & other facilities have incorporated them into their homes and just love them.   The few remaining were basically forgotten about until a few weeks ago when we were doing a little organizing and house cleaning.  We won't bother you with all the details but originally they came out of the remolding of the Flamingo Hilton Hotel Casino in Las Vegas many years ago & ended up in a hotel furniture liquidation outlet and then to our storage unit.
Each mirror is stamped on the back "Property of the Flamingo Hilton / not to be removed" and that stamp is still clearly visible.  We believe these hung in the hallways and offices and not the general rooms as they were probably way too expensive to make for that when originally manufactured.  If you look close you will see that each and every piece has a large beveled edge and major glass beveling is not cheap.  We don’t know if Bugsy Siegel installed them himself but we'd like to think he or maybe Elvis combed their hair or something in front of one. LOL.  The pink and the blue mirrors are in two sizes at 42 & ½” & 54" long by two feet wide and are quite impressive.  We don't value either length more than the other so until no more available at either size, the winner may choose.  Although the 42" seem to have been the most popular.  It probably relates to the space you have to display in your home.
The pink sold very well and possibly rarer but the
blue was the dominant color on the Art Deco radios, clocks, etc., in the Art Deco period.  This auction is for a
blue
colored mirror, again your choice of size and we have a
pink
or
rose
and a black listed on separate auctions.  The color in person is much more vibrant in person as eBay's photo hosting isn't very good.  Like everything they do, they choose to use the cheapest low budget method they can for their equipment and the low wage techs they higher in the Philippines to solve problems or anything else they do.  Just their way of doing business although not the brightest way.
When we sold all the others years ago, we custom ordered with a box company for 200 custom boxes manufactured at about each to ship these and we still have a few of them left. We have shipped
these to London, Japan, Australia, South America, and here in the US with great success.  But Forward Air has raised their prices quite extensively as has FedEx so we are going to officially only offer local pick up.
But we will ship if the buyer wants to pay for that.
We don't know what their costs are now to ship but you can find out by going to their websites & putting in the weight of 68 or 81 pounds & the sizes mentioned which will give an idea to your location.  Please don't ask us to do that for you as each destination is different.
