    Description

    these helmets were designed as a replacement for the A-9 helmet....it was standardized April 23, 1943...made of khaki Byrd cloth and featured large black rubber mounts for ANB-H-1 receivers....the areas for snaps are reinforced with leather.... some slight discoloration or tarnish from age and storage (they were all just thrown in a heap together in a wooden crate)....Society Brand Hat Co.....each of these helmets has one or more snaps missing (see photos)
