Description
This auction is for the 8 silver Kennedy half dollar coins minted from 1964 thru 1970. 1964 was the first year of the Kennedy half dollar and the last year that circulating coins were minted in 90% silver. Two of those coins, both 1964 and 1964-D, are included in this run. Starting in 1965, half dollar coins were struck in 40% silver clad, which continued until 1970. After that, the composition was changed to the same clad copper nickel as the quarter and dime. This auction includes one each of the 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968-D, 1969-D, and 1970-D 40% silver halves. The 1964 thru 1969 coins are all lightly circulated and gently cleaned. See pics for examples. The 1970 coin was only made available in mint sets, resulting in only a few more than 2 million being minted (the next lowest silver mintage is 1965 at over 65 million). The 1970 coin included in this auction is uncirculated, encapsulated in a clear plastic holder, and may have a beautiful golden tone. You will receive a total of eight coins in the same general condition as those described and pictured.Good luck and stay healthy.
A word about Sales Tax:
I do not charge any sort of sales tax or any other up-charges. eBay, however, might. Court rulings have determined that various taxing authorities can levy taxes on on-line purchases, even though the Buyer and the Seller might be in different States. To settle who gets this money, and to avoid potential double taxing by both States, "They" decided that the Buyer's State should get the booty. Consequently the Buyer's address determines if and how much sales tax gets levied. eBay, in an effort to stay in business and not lose all their sellers to them running afoul of taxing authorities, now automatically include any taxes thus owed. I, personally, have nothing to do with it or to say about, except to pay a fee (not part of the tax) for the taxes having been included on my invoice. Something we'll all have to live with now, I guess. It just keeps getting better, don't it?
A Note to Buyers Outside the US
:
Import fees (including taxes and customs charges) may apply for the country the item is being sent to.
These fees are usually based on the item's price, shipping weight, dimensions, and country of origin, plus any taxes, duties, and fees from the country the item is being sent to. Buyers are responsible for paying import fees, usually as part of clearing their parcel through customs or when they receive their item. These costs cannot be included in the item's purchase and shipping price.
Through the eBay Global Shipping Program, eBay will inform the buyer about any import charges and these will be included in the order total at checkout.
Try not to be too surprised when you find these additional charges.
I have nothing to do with it and can’t begin to guess how much it might come to.
If you purchase something from me and decide that you don’t want to pay these fees, simply ask me to cancel the transaction for you and I’ll do that.
