    Description

Recent barn find, M1 helmet, front seam stainless steel rim fixed bail , with sewn on kacky chin straps with brass fittings.
Liner is a Hawley with steel A washers and leather chin strap.
Both were found buried under about 70 years worth of leaves in an old shed/barn behind a house in Up State NY ( ok may not be exactly 70 years but no one even knew it was there or how it even got there).
I'm shocked that Hawley fiber liner didn't turn to mush, but must have been well insulated after all these years.
    Condition: "SEE ALL PICTURES" -
Ok the liner is intact, does have a soft spot on top and has rust marks to it "SEE ALL PICTURES".
M1 shows rust on outside and inside (matches liner) no cracks or dents.
Some rust to the A washers and the webbing.
All in all a survivor  and would display up nicely.
SOLD IN AS STATED CONDITION - "SEE ALL PICTURES
